General Information

Due to the entry into force of the amendment to the “Law of Information Society Services” (LSSICE) established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is mandatory to obtain the express consent of the user of all websites that use dispensable cookies before they browse them.

What are cookies?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies, or pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the site.

By using these devices, the web server can remember certain data about the user, such as their preferences for viewing pages from that server, username and password, products they are most interested in, etc.

Cookies affected by the regulations and exempt cookies
According to the EU directive, cookies that require informed consent from the user are analytics cookies and advertising and affiliate cookies, while technical cookies and those necessary for the operation of the website or the provision of services expressly requested by the user are exempt.

Types of cookies

Based on ownership:

  1. Own cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the requested service is provided.
  2. Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies.

Based on duration:

  1. Session cookies: These are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page.
  2. Persistent cookies: These are cookies in which the data continues to be stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie’s controller, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

Based on functionality:

  1. Necessary cookies: These are essential for the proper functioning of the website. They do not collect any user data and gather information such as language preference, whether the cookie policy has been accepted, etc.
  2. Analytical cookies: These, whether processed by us or third parties, allow us to quantify the number of users and perform the measurement and statistical analysis of the use made by users of the offered service. This involves analyzing their navigation on our website to improve the offer of products or services we provide.
  3. Advertising or marketing cookies: These allow for the most efficient management of the advertising spaces that the publisher may have included on a website, application, or platform from which the requested service is provided, based on criteria such as edited content or the frequency with which ads are displayed.
  4. Behavioral advertising or personalized marketing cookies: These allow for the most efficient management of the advertising spaces that the publisher may have included on a website, application, or platform from which the requested service is provided. These cookies store information about users’ behavior obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, allowing the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on it. It is also possible that when visiting a website or opening an email where an ad or promotion about our products or services is published, a cookie is installed in your browser to later show you related ads based on your search. This helps track our ads, such as the number of times they are viewed, where they appear, what time they are viewed, etc.
